Not Your Typical Heroes
A sprawling elven forest in the heart of Faerûn, covered in dense trees with small clearings and some glens that exist along the Lostfern River. The forest houses Eld'rar Village to the North and Smallbrook Village to the South. It rests adjacent to the Shale Hills.
Though wood elves are the most visible inhabitants of the forest, there are small populations of goblins, drow, and halflings that thrive here. It is common for the wood elves to become territorial and so these lands are rarely shared with outsiders. Encroachers and intruders are met with a sharp hatred, similar to their dwarven neighbors who protect the Shale Hills.
The wild life in Lostfern consists mainly of birds, bears, foxes, and spiders. There are also various small creatures native to the area such as rabbits, badgers, and weasels. It is uncommon to find any reptilian beasts, as the night temperatures are often very low; the few species who may have lived here have since gone extinct due to the various bird populations.
